Up and coming New York based company in the Housewares industry is looking for a savvy and experienced individual to become a valued member of our team. Our customers span a variety of sales channels, including specialty stores and chains in the upper end of the housewares market, as well as select mass retailers. Direct experience working with these sales channels is a must. This challenging and exciting job requires a high-energy, organized person with a “get-it-done” attitude. The right experience and attitude is what counts and compensation will be commensurate with such.
The company is in the process of transitioning from an AS400 based platform to Quickbooks Enterprise; the ideal candidate will play an integral role in helping to make this change happen. In addition, the right person will have the opportunity to be involved in many other facets of the company’s operations including: order processing, general sales, office support, and the ongoing financial and bookkeeping operations of this rapidly growing company. If you are an entrepreneurial self-starter who is capable of working independently in a modern, fast paced environment, this is the job for you.
Skills:
THIS POSITION REQUIRES A WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF QUICKBOOK ENTERPRISE AND AN UNDERSTANDING OF TRUE COMMERCE (or third party VAN provider). IF YOU DON’T HAVE THIS SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS POSTION.
Other responsibilities include:
Production – generate purchase orders for product production from overseas factories. Follow through production process to either import to US warehouse or delivery direct to customers.
Customer order management: order verification and entry; coordination with vendors and fulfillment/shipping partners; and order tracking and delivery schedule updates.
EDI: PO, ASN, ship labels, invoicing and customer-specific order management websites.
SKU management and item/customer setup.
Sales support: order confirmations, delivery schedules and shipment updates, sample requests & shipments.
Working with a 3PL company for order fulfillment and logistics functions.
